Wa Kei Sei Jaku - Japanese Tea Ceremony

Hanging scroll in Tea Ceremony room, Zen Word - "和敬清寂 (Wa Kei Sei Jaku)". The underlying philosophy of Chado (Tea) evolved from Zen Buddhism. 

Sen no Rikyu summarized the principles of the discipline of Tea into four concepts. 

和(Wa): Harmony 
敬(Kei): Respect 
清(Sei): Purity 
寂(Jaku): Tranquility 
Both Tea and Zen emphasize a way of training mind in awareness.
