Happy New Year 2012!!!! It's 1:17pm and 5 degrees Celsius here in Tokyo!!! ^^

We Japanese people eat a special selection of dishes during the New Year celebration called "Osechi-ryori". Osechi-ryori are Traditional Japanese New Year Foods. Osechi was made by the close of the previous year, because originally, during first three days of the New Year it was a taboo to use a hearth and cook meals in Japan.
